As a sales representatives you are responsible for developing new business. You will create and implement sales strategies that will ensure that long-term relationships are developed and maintained and that new business revenue targets are achieved. You will develop prospects and develop new clients within identified targets.
Responsibilities
- Administer bids and negotiate sales contracts
- Maintain good customer relations and address customer complaints as needed
- Gather information regarding billing and future requirements for drilling programs
- Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
- May work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field.
- Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions.
- Represent companies that export and import products or services to and from foreign countries
- May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
Education / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Relevant Experience:
- Sales experience in down-hole drilling
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of sales and marketing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good understanding of oilfield drilling practices and procedures
- Knowledge of the geographical areas in which drilling exploration is carried out
